Look what came in the mail today! My wife is going to be very happy. So will the rest of the gamers.

BareBones Fantasy RPG is not associated with Skaldcrow Games' Bare Bones Multiverse, despite similar names. Check out Glenn's products by clicking here.
You know...looking at the way these are made, it would be a no-brainer to make a set of tokens.
Actually maybe it would be complicated. How many of each would you put in a set? I'm hijacking my own thread. Shutting up now.
That seems like a bit of paper waste. Why couldn't all the stickers go on the same page?
Ascent - not sure why they print it that way, they just do.
I received mine in the mail too and realized a couple of things and have changed the product a bit because of it:
1) the black bag is HUGE, far too big for the tokens, and so to save money I switched to a smaller bag. That also cut a dollar off the price, which of course I passed on to purchasers since this isn't a product DwD Studios is trying to make money from.
2) the stickers from thegamecrafter.com come 63 to a sheet. Whether you use 1 sticker or 63, you pay the same thing. So I changed the quantity of the stickers to 63. This allows you to put a sticker on each side of the 20 tokens which come in the set, leaving you an additional 23 stickers to place on your wife's butt when she's not looking. Hey, we'll get our free advertisement any way we can.
Anyway - sorry to change the product a bit AFTER a few of you purchased, but I guess that's how things go when we're developing on-the-fly from a forum thread. Anyway - I used mine in a game session with my group and they had a good time, though they rolled their eyes too much at the "bone" idioms and refused to say them. Well that's not true - they did say "oh come on, throw him a bone!" once. All in all, it's a fun addition to the game, especially for those of us who truly enjoy Savage Worlds as well.
Sounds like the new version would actually be enough to cover both sides of the 20 new tokens and the back sides of the 20 old tokens for those of us who bought early. And you'd still have three stickers left for wifey.
No, not pics of my wife's butt, of the tokens and bags. :-P
Hah! I just did the same thing, with ordering another set so I'll have enough stickers to do both sides.
Mine arrived yesterday - not allowed to have them until Christmas :P
OK, now I have 3 butt stickers coming as well.
haha!
Well at least make Santa peel & stick the labels onto the tokens!
Do the Bones come with the list of the variant rules for using them?
No rules? Larry and Bill need to resolve that little hiccup.
The product page lists some of rules. I've compiled the rest from AslanC's original forum topic.
Bones
Suggested rules for use:
Each player gets 2 bones at the start of a game session. Halflings receive an additional bone (representing their Luck ability). During game play, a player may cash in a bone for any of the following effects:
During game play, the GM can "throw you a bone" if you do something particularly cool that he didn't expect (or that he thought would never work).
To balance stuff out a bit, the GM should also be given bones to use, one bone per player. He won't get extra bones to spend (nobody is going to "throw him a bone") but the ones he has could be used in the same ways as above. Of course, a spending war could ensue... where the GM and player(s) keep spending bones to do/undo each other for something important.
Awesome. Thanks.
If your GM does not allow you to use Flesh & Bones after falling dead, try this one. :-)
Bone Dead: You want to live, right? If you are dropped to 0BP and fail a STR check cash in ALL your bones to live. You rise with half your starting BP.
Flip Him the Bone: Use your thumb and forefinger and flip the GM a bone to allow your character to break their moral code. Need to do something very cruel (or very kind?), do it!
I copied the rules from the bag obones product page, put it in 4 texts boxes on one page and printed it off to give each player a "card" to look at so they would know the rules.
Bones 2.0 arrived today. The smaller bag is greatly appreciated (although I'm not sure if it will hold 40 total Bones).
LOL. Irony. Because you ordered more bones for the smaller bag, you now need the larger bag. :D
I suspect that I'll add 10 more bones to the bag and then put the rest in cold storage.
I keep all 40 plus 5 10-siders in mine. It fits, if it's a little snug
Yeah, I just finished putting the remaining 20 stickers on the backs of my original 20 tokens, and all 40 tokens fit in the bag just fine.
Here's my initial reaction before I give the computer
to the son unit. :-)
Something the character needs becomes readily available.
Not magically but in story. For instance, hundreds of orcs are hot on the characters trail after they failed a mission inside Mt. Doom, the characters are on a edge of a high ridge. They either jump to their death or face the onslaught. Cash in a blue token and they find a miners wagon full of supplies. It fell from a ridge above them, the wagon is smashed however it contains rope and cloth (parachute? lol) that could be used to lower themselves down to another passage or to the ground below.
Interesting train of thought.
Requirements: Speaks mouth language. Moth. ;-)
